Tan Tan and Saga Boy

Tan tan and saga boy have long been part of the Trinidadian vernacular. A saga boy has historically been associated with a well dressed or “ladies” man while tan tan in its original definition meant aunt.

The idea of tan tan and saga boy was popularised in 1990 by Peter Minshall, a celebrated Caribbean artist, whose colourful Carnival band “Tantana” introduced these terms to a new generation.

Drawing reference from trini (Trinidadian) culture, I will introduce a daily Saga Boy (His) and Tan Tan (Her) section where I will list my favourite items.
